Crisis Intervention Team
The Elmhurst Police Department has a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) of officers that have received additional, focused training on mental health and behavioral health issues specifically as they pertain to law enforcement officers—including de-escalation techniques. We also have a partnership with Hahn & Associates to offer counseling services when needed.
