Home Divisions Operations

Operations is made up of the uniformed Patrol Division, the Traffic Safety Unit, Community Service Officers, Animal Control and various specialty units. The main focus of Operations is responding to calls for service from the public, both emergency and non-emergency while maintaining peace, order and safety for everyone.

Operations is overseen by the Chief of Police, who provides leadership, direction and vision to the Department in the fulfillment of its overall mission. The Department is led by Police Chief Michael McLean, along with Deputy Chief Brett Kaczorowski and Deputy Chief Jim Gandy. Together, the Chief and Deputy Chiefs of Police bring years of progressive law enforcement experience to the City of Elmhurst.
