Administration
The Elmhurst Police Department is led by Chief Michael McLean, who was promoted to Chief of Police in September of 2022. Chief McLean rose through the ranks of the Elmhurst Police since being sworn in January of 2000. Chief McLean is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia and is a Certified Chief of Police through the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police. Rounding out the Executive Management team are Deputy Chief Brett Kaczorowski, who leads the Investigations & Administration Division, and Deputy Chief James Gandy, who leads the Operations Division.
Administrative support services are provided by Jami Carrington, Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police, and Kerri Chambers, Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Chiefs.
